Deck Conduit Rough-In Ahead of Concrete Pour
Ran conduit through the rebar mat and set stub-ups ahead of a commercial concrete pour. Once the deck goes, anything you missed gets cut back in with a saw and a jackhammer — so this stage gets checked twice.
Before a deck gets poured, every conduit run, sleeve, and stub-up has to be in place, tied off, and at the right elevation. There's no second pass. Concrete is unforgiving that way.
Our crew laid out the runs against the drawings, tied conduit into the rebar mat so nothing floats or shifts under the weight of the pour, and set stub-ups at the locations that feed the floor above.
The coordination matters as much as the install. Deck pours don't wait — the pump truck shows up on schedule and the concrete gets placed whether or not the electrical is ready. Being finished and inspected before that boom swings over is the whole job.
